Matthew 6:1-
Up until 1918 it was considered unlawful to declare a tax deduction on the contributions we made to charity. When we keep an account of the tithe we pay and declare this as a deduction for our personal gain, it is as if we have offered a gift to the Lord and then turned around and snatched it back. The Lord was never meant to be used as a “tax shelter” and when we make use of this deduction, then we are no longer serving the Lord, but the Lord is serving us. Also, when we give a gift to a loved one or a dear friend, we would never expect them to return it; therefore, why would we treat the Lord with any less love or respect?

2 Timothy 3:1-

Psalms 95:10-

They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years. (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priest of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years.

Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death. For he "has put everything under his feet." Now when it says that "everything" has been put under him, it is clear that this does not include God himself, who put everything under Christ. When he has done this, then the Son himself will be made subject to him who put everything under him, so that God may be all in all.
